The Support Specialist I reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.The Support Specialist I will work closely with managers, and directors for assigned areas. This will include the development of work plans, metrics and resources to achieve the strategic goals and objectives on the assigned activities. Assigned activities may include work related to the Community Health Needs Assessment, the Community Health Improvement Plan and/or other Northwestern Medicine programs that may align with the External and Community Affairs Division.Responsibilities:This position requires planning and implementation for community and outreach activities including the coordination of internal and external resources, overseeing volunteer recruitment, identifying event spaces, assuring that programs are on time and on budget.This position serves as a liaison and representative of Northwestern Medicine at community events or meetings and helps establish and maintain partnerships to promote a culture of wellness in the communities that NM serves. Additionally, this position serves as intermediary between Northwestern Medicine and local, regional and state associations (American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, March of Dimes, etc.).Provides support to health and wellness programs and initiatives.Maintains internal reporting tool to track hospital departments’ community benefit activities.Assist in the collection of community wellness program outcomes, evaluations and reports for existing and new programs.EOE Minorities/Women/Disabled/Veterans.
