Please note, this job starts is a part-time position. Spanish speaking candidate is preferred, but not required: only reason being because our head-baker does not speak English well and you need to communicate well with him to get your duties done. Duties include and must know: Scale Recipes on a Scale, Cleaning without being told, Organizing, Prepping batter and some cold items.
We are looking for an assistant to our baker. If you have the experience working in a bakery, wholesale or fast-pace food setting. Then we are looking for you! A plus would be knowing how to ice and fill cakes.
OUR BUSY Vegan and Gluten-free bakery in the neighborhood of Ravenswood in Chicago is in urgent need of an experienced food person/assistant to our bakers with scaling recipes and this is a MUST, cutting veggies, carrying and keeping track of inventory, prepping baked goods, cleaning and washing dishes. This job is for a motivated individual who is willing to do various jobs at once and someone who is a self starter and okay working alone once trained.
People interested in the position should be able to lift up to 50 lbs at times, a fast learner, proactive and who likes to work in a fast pace environment.
