Burwood Tap in Chicago, IL is looking for 1-2 bar back to join our 15 person strong team. We are located on 724 W Wrightwood Ave. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, reliabl and experienced .BarBack Job SummaryBarbacks are responsible for backing up bartenders. Barbacks are observant, efficient and work with other staff members to ensure that our customers receive prompt and seamless service. The Barback will assist in cleaning the bar, preparing garnishes, ensuring the bar is well stocked with napkins, straws, glassware, garnishes, all other necessities and taking on other duties to support the Bartender to ensure that the bar operates smoothly. You should be knowledgeable about menu items, attentive, and focused on providing the best possible service in a fast-paced environment.Barback Duties and Responsibilities Restock liquor, mixers, and garnishes behind the bar Perform bussing responsibilities such as clearing empty cups and trash from bar top and tables Maintain overall appearance and cleanliness of bar (i.e. wipe down surfaces, push chairs and stools etc.) Perform frequent restroom checks for quality control Perform clean-ups of spills or other customer accidents as needed Ensure bartenders are equipped with necessities at bartending stations at all times Clean cups and dishes and adhere to dish-washing procedures Ensure bartenders are equipped with clean glasses and pitchers at all times Check and re-stock liquor inventory Follow all opening, closing, and key-holding procedures during each shift Ensure customer satisfaction by smiling and answering any questions our customers may ask inventory Change kegs Carry cases Put away deliveries Change soda syrup Change gas tanks Inform appropriate mgr/lead of low inventory before running out Ability to lift/move kegs Ability to work on feet for 8 -10hours 3-5 shifts available.
