We are a well established breakfast and lunch cafe in downtown Oak Park that is looking for a new experienced cook to join our team. One year in breakfast type restaurant is preferred.
Shift Hours 6:30am-4:30pm
This is a full time position, weekends are required, 4-5 day work week 8-10 hour shifts.

Experienced Line Cook
Join our collaborative team as a Line Cook at our well established breakfast restaurant. We are seeking a candidate that is passionate about food and cooking. We need you to have a background in working in restaurants (preferably in breakfast cuisine) to ensure that you can handle the demands of this rewarding position. As our Line Cook, you will be important to the success of our restaurant as the food preparer. We need you to have a natural eye for quality, so that you can uphold our standards, and become a respected and valued member of our team.
Daily Responsibilities
- Prep and cook menu items to the standard we will teach you
- Prepare food safely according to health codes
- Work with mgrs and team to ensure that we deliver our food to guests fast and efficient
- Be clean & well organized
- Offer knowledge & experience to menu planning and training as needed
To Qualify for this Position:
- Recent and 1+ year experience in kitchen experience as line cook
- Hold food handler and food allergen certification (or obtain prior to hiring)
- Capable of working in a fast paced environment and keeping calm and efficient
- Knife skills, cleaning, organizing, lift 50#, stand on feet for duration of shift
- Able to speak in English with other team members to achieve daily goals
