Longtime Lakeview tavern is hiring door staff. Consistent once or twice a week shifts primarily 9pm to close on Thu - Sat are available starting later this month. Additional afternoon shifts from 3 to 9pm available beginning in March thru fall. This is a low key neighborhood tavern. We schedule a minimum of 2-3 weeks in advance so employees have schedule certainty.

Job duties:
Check customer identification
Assist bartender(s) with restocking and keeping bar neat and clean.
Work with bartender(s) to provide a safe and respectful environment for guests
Light cleaning of floors and bathrooms at end of shift and tossing of the trash in dumpsters.
Job requirements:
Must be 21 or over
Hold valid State of Illinois BASSET / Alcohol Service training certification by start of 1st shift
Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
Works well with others
Reliable availability and transportation (bar is near multiple CTA stops)
Compensation starts at $16 per hour depending on experience and availability. No experience required. We will train anyone looking to get into the industry. Many shifts you will have abundant time to read or watch sports. Payment is by direct deposit to your bank account every two weeks. Please DO NOT apply if you are going to ask to be paid in cash. For insurance reasons there will be a background check prior to hiring providing photo ID at time of your interview is also required.
