Position Summary:
Graciously greets guests upon arrival,provides menus to them and explains how our system works. Manages special seating requests of guests consistent with table availability.
Relays messages to staff persons as appropriate. Supervises
operation of dining room to ensure the most efficient and effective
flow of patrons. Completes special projects as assigned by the
manager.
Task:
1. Greets all guests upon their arrival with a smile assigns a table balancing the guest flow among the service stations.
2. Understands the layout, ingredients and basic preparation of the
current menu. Able to answer questions about the menu both over the
phone and in-person.
3. Table selection should correspond with proper rotation, guests
seating preference and size of party.
4. Assist with seating as necessary and provide guests with clean menus.
5. Oversees the general functioning of the dining room during the meal
service period, relaying information to service personnel, requesting
feedback from guests as to their experience and giving a final
salutation upon exit from the restaurant.
6. Maintains a clean and organized hostess stand area. Monitors the
cleanliness of menus, and keeps necessary supply of pens, pencils and
menus.
7. Completes all side work requirements prior, during and after shift.
8. Maintains the cleanliness of the front entrance during shift.
