JOB SUMMARY:
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food preparation aligns with PPMG standards, and leading the back-of-house team with integrity and excellence. This role requires strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of food safety and culinary operations, and the ability to uphold and represent the brand's high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all menu items according to PPMG recipes and quality standards.
Ensure proper execution of carry-out and catering orders.
Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards, including proper food storage, labeling, and temperature control.
Maintain accurate inventory levels and conduct regular inventory checks.
Monitor and manage food and labor costs.
Train, coach, and develop BOH team members, including enforcing kitchen procedures and proper knife handling skills.
Oversee kitchen equipment maintenance and cleanliness; ensure all tools are used and stored properly.
Collaborate with FOH leadership to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
Handle ordering of kitchen supplies and food products when necessary.
Maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented kitchen culture.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food handling procedures, and cooking techniques
Proficient in reading, understanding, and executing recipes
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 lbs.
Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional food experiences

This role requires working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You must be comfortable on your feet for extended periods and able to multitask effectively while ensuring quality and safety at all times.
