Monday – Saturday (Occasional Sundays)
2–6 days/week
7:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Average of 25 hours/week
Compensation:
● $16.20/hr to start
● $18.00/hr after 90 days upon satisfactory performance

About the Role
We’re looking for a dependable and motivated Kitchen Production Assistant to join our team! You’ll help prepare and assemble fresh onigiri for delivery to our retail and market partners. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with food, is organized, and values teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation
● Wash, prep, measure, and mix ingredients
● Follow recipes accurately and consistently
● Assist in the production of ready-to-eat onigiri under the supervision of the kitchen manager
Kitchen Maintenance
○ Wash and store dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools
○ Clean and sanitize all kitchen surfaces and equipment
○ Keep kitchen and storage areas organized and safe
○ Follow all health, hygiene, and safety standards
Inventory & Stock
● Label and store ingredients properly
● Help receive and store deliveries
● Notify the team of low stock or issues with inventory
Safety & Compliance
● Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols
● Report any equipment issues or safety concerns to the kitchen manager
Qualifications
○ Previous kitchen or food handling experience
○ Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene
○ Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
○ Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
○ Punctual, dependable, and a team player
○ Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
○ ServSafe Food Handler Certificate
