Looking for a deli worker in Evanston area- close to Northwestern University. Need a kind and energetic person to be the face of the deli. Customer interactions are very important to us and having a good attitude is key to working the position. The job requires standing for entire shift and dealing with machines. Machines that will be used are meat/cheese slicer, scales, conveyor oven, hot plastic-wrap machine. The majority of the job consists of prepping and making made-to-order sandwiches from the menu, slicing deli meats and cheeses as requested by customer, and preparing deli salads as requested by customer. Employees periodically deal with fresh meat and poultry if assistance is needed at the meat counter.
Flexible hours are available and compensation will be based on experience. Experience is highly preferred The uniform consists of a work shirt and nametag (provided by us upon hire), jeans/pants completely covering legs, and sensible shoes. Long hair must be pulled back and out of the way, hats are available upon request.
