Job Description

LM Restaurant Group is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and positive Food Runner to join our team at Land & Lake Rosemont. A Food Runner is responsible for ensuring the guests are having a pleasurable experience from the moment they enter the restaurant until they leave. You will be responsible for guest satisfaction, water service, table maintenance, general sanitation, and daily side work. What will I be doing?

As a Food Runner, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standard:

Polite and friendly demeanor with a guest forward approach to service

Provide water service for every guest.

Table maintenance- offering assistance to server by clearing away dishes, glassware, and refilling beverages if needed. As well as maintaining a tidy section.

Maintain customer attentiveness and a neat appearance.

Learn the menu including allergens in each menu item. Ensure to follow LM allergy protocol.

Run food from kitchen to guests' table and provide accurate description of the dish to customers.

Deliver food to tables and ensure guests have all they need.

Perform opening and closing side work in a timely manner.

Assist server and bartender with opening and closing sidework.

Ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude.

Responsible for cleanliness and stocking of service areas throughout shift.

Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.

Janitorial services, including but not limited to emptying trash, spot sweeping, and any other needs upon manager’s request.

Perform other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction.

Knowledge of basic sanitation practices

Other Duties & Tasks

Must be able to stand for 8+ hours

Ability to carry heavy trays

Ability to lift up to 20 pound regularly and 50 pounds on occasion

Ability to walk, stand, kneel, reach, climb, balance, stoop, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend, twist, squat, and do repetitive motions regularly throughout shift

Ability to work in hot and cool conditions

Ability to work in a fast pace environment

Ability to stay calm under pressure

Well groomed, professional appearance

What are the Qualifications?

1+ years Food Runner experience in a trendy high-volume restaurant (preferred)

Food Handlers, Allergens certifications within 30 days of employment

High School diploma/GED (preferred)
