Are you a talented pastry chef looking for a dynamic daytime role? We want you on our team!
Responsibilities:
Create and decorate stunning, delectable large and individual desserts.
Bake a variety of items from scratch, including cakes, wedding cakes, pies, galettes, breakfast pastries, cookies, mini desserts, ice cream, quiches, and savory items.
Collaborate with the executive chef and owner to develop new, seasonal offerings.
Stay updated with new trends, items, and skills.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in large-volume baking, including wedding cakes (typically 3 tiers or smaller).
Ability to work independently under pressure in your department.
Exceptional time management skills.
Adaptability to last-minute additions and changes with a positive attitude.
Highly organized and tidy.
Capability to work well individually and as part of a kitchen team.
Confidence to accept constructive criticism.
Experience with vegan and gluten-free desserts.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/move cases, boxes, and bags of products.
Work Schedule:
Standard hours: Monday-Friday, starting around 6:00 AM, for 30-40+ hours per week.
Availability to work later, weekends and events as needed.
