Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate PM Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate has experience in high volume, upscale dining restaurants. Ensures the highest standards of food quality and safety. This role requires a strong background in culinary arts, food handling, and menu planning, as well as the ability to supervise kitchen staff effectively. The Sous Chef will play a crucial role in creating a positive dining experience for our guests while maintaining the efficiency of the kitchen.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking techniques.
Participate in menu planning, including creating new dishes and seasonal offerings.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Help maintain a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and communication among staff.
Prepare high-quality dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Address any customer concerns or feedback regarding food quality or service.
Skills
Culinary Training preferred but not required.
Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of various cooking techniques.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing team dynamics.
Familiarity with dietary department protocols and special dietary needs.
Proficient in menu planning and recipe development.
Excellent food handling skills to ensure safe preparation and service.
Strong background in food service within a hospitality environment.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
