Position Overview

The Server provides friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all guests. The primary objective of this role is to deliver a memorable experience that encourages guests to return. Servers are expected to be both entertainers and service providers, focusing on creating connections with guests and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and ensure they feel welcomed and attended to.

Inform guests of specials, menu changes, and provide recommendations.

Answer questions about menu items, beverages, and other services.

Take orders and accurately enter them into the point-of-sale system for kitchen and bar relay.

Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner.

Perform assigned side work at the beginning and end of each shift.

Maintain clean and organized service areas.

Monitor guest satisfaction, ensuring prompt and courteous response to requests.

Follow responsible service of alcohol guidelines and protocols.

Prepare final bills, process payments, and handle cash and credit card transactions.

Assist fellow servers and buspersons with various tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Thank guests for their visit, invite them to return, and create a positive impression.

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests.

Basic knowledge of dining room procedures and service functions.

Proficient in basic math skills to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.

Ability to stand and walk for long periods (4 to 8 hours per shift).

Capable of safely lifting and maneuvering items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Willingness to engage with guests through conversation and entertainment.

Adherence to appearance guidelines and maintenance of professional presentation.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

The Server role requires long periods of standing and walking, typically from 4 to 8 hours per shift. The position also involves lifting items up to 25 pounds and working in a fast-paced environment with variable noise levels. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, is essential.
