Chicago Ridge Medical Imaging is expanding our team!
Very Busy Diagnostic Independent Imaging Center seeking a Front Desk Receptionist/Patient Coordinator
Requirements: Must be customer service oriented and have strong verbal communications. We hold a high standard for patient care.
Ability to multi task and be organized in this very busy facility.
Ability to communicate professionally with patients, insurance representatives and co-workers
Ability to work independently
Must be dependable and reliable
Needs to be a Team player and willing to answer large volume of phone calls and schedule appointments
Duties:
Greet and register patients at time of check in. Accurately collect all required documents and data entry in our EMR. Schedule patients and give preps for various exams including MRI, CT, Xray, Ultrasound, EKG, EMG/NCV, and Dexascans. Run insurance eligibility checks and collect payments. Assist with various duties assigned by manager.
Verifies insurance and register patients at time of check in. Accurately collect all required documents and data entry in our EMR. Scheduling for Radiology imaging exams (MRI, MRA, CT, Ultrasound, Echo) Retrieving faxes and entering into EMR. Calling and scheduling patients for exams. Confirming appointments. Medical records.
Reviews orders and referrals for completeness and accuracy and follows up for additional information if needed. Acts as liason between physicians and patients. Contacts physicians offices to obtain demographic, clinical or related data needed.
Monday thru Friday position
10am to 6pm with a occasional Saturday from 8-2pm with a day off during the week if needed for coverage
Hours can vary based on the needs of the company
Requirements:
Excellent telephone communications skills
2 year minimum healthcare experience is required
Medical Terminology
Radiology Preferred
ICD 10/CPT Coding

Pay: $20.00 per hour
