Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and reliable part-time caregiver to assist an 80-year-old man with his daily needs. The caregiver will provide 36 hours of care per week at $21/hour. This is a part-time position with a minimum commitment of 3 months, and while long-term employment is not guaranteed, an extension may be possible based on the situation.
The elderly man lives with a housemate and has a cat, so the caregiver must be comfortable working in a shared living space and around pets.
Responsibilities:
Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.).
Meal preparation and feeding according to dietary needs.
Light housekeeping duties (laundry, cleaning, organizing) for the elderly man only. The caregiver is not responsible for cleaning after the housemate.
Providing companionship and emotional support.
Medication reminders.
Transportation to medical appointments or running errands as needed (mileage or gas reimbursement provided if using your own vehicle).
Caring for the man's general well-being and safety.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a caregiver for the elderly is preferred.
Must be comfortable around pets (the man has a cat).
Valid driver's license for transportation needs.
Ability to handle light household tasks.
Must be compassionate, patient, and reliable.
Ability to commit to at least 3 months of employment.
Work Schedule:
36 hours per week (e.g., 12 hours/day for 3 days per week).

Compensation:
$21 per hour.
Mileage or gas reimbursement for transportation if using your own vehicle.
