Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced diesel mechanic proficient in performing general maintenance tasks on trucks and trailers. The ideal candidate should possess a broad range of skills and knowledge to handle various maintenance and repair tasks effectively. Additionally, familiarity with inspecting equipment, identifying DOT violations, and signing off inspections is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
Identify and rectify any potential safety hazards.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient operations.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in a similar role.
Knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems.
Ability to interpret technical manuals and drawings.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Certification or relevant training is a plus.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
