Fireplace & Chimney Authority, the Midwest's largest fireplace and chimney company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Chimney Brick Mason to join our growing team. As a Stone Mason, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the construction, repair, tuckpointing, and rebuilding of chimney structures.
Responsibilities:
Measure and mark surfaces to be covered with stone
Mix mortar and apply it to surfaces using hand or power tools
Cut stones to size using a variety of tools
Lay stones in patterns or designs according to plans or specifications
Align structures using plumb lines, levels, and other tools
Tuckpoint and rebuild chimney structures
Clean and polish surfaces using a variety of techniques and tools
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
In addition to the above responsibilities, the Stone Mason may also be responsible for:
Keeping accurate records of work performed
Communicating with customers in a professional and courteous manner
Providing estimates for repair and maintenance work
Assisting with the marketing and promotion of our services
Maintaining inventory of tools and equipment
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Stone Mason
Strong knowledge stone laying techniques and tools
Experience with tuckpointing and rebuilding chimney structures
Good communication and customer service skills
The ability to work at heights and lift heavy objects
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Competitive hourly pay of $25-30 per hour based on experience
