Position Overview
Stratum Builders is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Superintendent to oversee daily operations on job sites and ensure projects are executed to our high standards of quality, efficiency, and design precision.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives on collaboration between design and construction teams, maintains clear communication with clients and subcontractors, and brings a strong sense of ownership to every project.
Responsibilities
Model high standards of quality and professionalism to set the tone for crews and uphold company values in the field.
Supervise projects and coordinate field crews and subcontractors to ensure work is delivered on time and with high quality.
Maintain a physical on-site presence by traveling between job sites, working alongside crews to monitor daily progress, resolving challenges, and keeping project timelines on course.
Draft detailed estimates and realistic timelines to support smooth, efficient project delivery.
Maintain regular communication with vendors and reach out to clients as needed to provide updates, manage changes, and keep expectations aligned.
Prepare detailed, accurate project documentation to support quality assurance and enable effective collaboration with the operations team on scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
Support the growth of a skilled construction team by helping identify, hire, and develop tradespeople such as painters, carpenters, and masons.
Collaborate with company leadership on developing consistent workflows, standards, and jobsite protocols (SOPs).
Full-time position: Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in residential or commercial construction management or field supervision
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with masonry, tuckpointing, roof repairs, and replacements
Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and best practices
Exceptional communication and organizational skills
Comfortable reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications
Proficient with project management and scheduling tools (Buildertrend, JobNimbus, or similar)
Keen attention to design details and finishing standards consistent with a high-end build environment
Valid driver’s license
OSHA certification or equivalent safety training preferred
What we offer
Base Pay: $80,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on experience, with bonus potential
Company Car: A vehicle for work purposes will be provided within 45 days from the start date. The company vehicle will be parked at HQ and Stratum Builders will cover all reasonable business-related vehicle expenses
