Overview:
A Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment, conducting repairs, and maintaining safety standards within the facility.
Pay Rate:
$30 – $40 per hour, based on experience.
Shift Information:
-2nd Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Shift differential: $0.50/hour)
-3rd Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM (Shift differential: $1.00/hour)
Key Responsibilities:
-Prioritize safety as the number one goal, address safety issues promptly, and perform lock out/tag out procedures.
-Conduct routine checks on all equipment and take corrective action as necessary.
-Fabricate parts, guards, and other items as needed for machinery.
-Troubleshoot AC/DC electrical components (up to 480VAC 3 Phase), including motor starters, PLC logic, switches, and sensors using test equipment (multi-meters, amp probes, laptop).
-Perform mechanical repairs on production equipment such as case machines, trimmers, blow molders, extruders, conveyors, case erectors/packers, and palletizers.
-Diagnose, repair, and overhaul equipment with precision.
-Maintain plant safety standards, GMP cleanliness, and assist in general housekeeping duties across the plant.
Required Experience and Skills:
-Working knowledge of mechanical systems.
-Strong troubleshooting skills for complex issues.
-High attention to detail and strong communication skills.
-Ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels.
Qualifications:
-Minimum 7 years as a maintenance mechanic/technician in a manufacturing environment.
-Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing facility.
-Hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
-Electrical/PLC background is strongly preferred.
