Beacon Hill has partnered with a reputable global manufacturing company that is seeking a Scale Operator to manage truck weigh-ins across various plant locations (Utica, Morris, Joliet, North Aurora). This role involves weighing trucks, maintaining accurate records, and performing additional tasks as needed, including administrative duties and KPI reporting. This unique opportunity is a great opportunity for those with customer service experience to work across multiple Chicago suburbs. Responsibilities:Prioritize safety and ensure a safe work environment and provide professional safety training to all site visitors.Accurately weigh trucks and process outbound shipments.Maintain timely and effective communication with the Sales team and assist customers in determining required products and quantities.Manage cash and records with precision.Build positive relationships with haulers to ensure top-notch transportation services.Support order entry systems, improve procedures, and ensure on-time delivery.Keep all work areas, including the scale house, clean and organized.Train and support other employees as needed.Perform other duties as assigned or as time allows.Commute between four different Chicago suburbs (Utica, Morris, Joliet, North Aurora).Ability to work from 6am to 3pm.Qualifications:High School diploma or GED required.1+ years of relevant experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required; experience with SAP is a plus.Ability to perform basic math computations.Familiarity with industry terminology and products.Ability to commute between Utica, Morris, Joliet, and North Aurora. Can choose one location to report to, but commuting will be required.Strong safety orientation, punctual, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
