We are seeking a responsible and compassionate family unit for a unique, long-term, live-in support and companionship role in the Chicagoland area.
This is an ideal opportunity for a family (ideally 4+ members) looking for a "leg up" and significant financial relief. In exchange for providing a stable, structured, and kind home environment for a 52-year-old autistic male (Mental age of 10), your family will receive free housing, all paid utilities, and a food budget.
Our friend works from home and is a kind-hearted, gentle person who thrives on a predictable schedule and a harmonious environment. He enjoys playing with legos, playing xBox, Playstation, visiting Zoos, all the typical stuff. One adult could be a stay-at-home parent to provide this consistency.
The Opportunity (Your Compensation)
100% Free Housing: Live rent-free in a large, 3,000+ sq/ft, 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home.
Private Living Space: Your family will have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for your private use, plus full use of the home's common areas. (Our friend will have his own designated bedroom and bathroom).
All Utilities Paid: all costs for electricity, water, gas, and internet.
Food Budget: A generous budget will be provided for household groceries.
The Role (Your Responsibilities)
We are looking for a family to function as a supportive "parental" unit. Your responsibilities will include:
Schedule Management: Creating, managing, and maintaining a consistent daily schedule for our relative to provide structure and comfort. Ensuring he goes to bed and gets up at the proper time, eats his veggies, and handles hygiene.
Companionship: Providing a reassuring and friendly presence. This includes sharing meals, watching TV together, and fostering a warm home life.
Household Management: Full responsibility for all meal preparation (breakfast, lunch, dinner), grocery shopping, and general household cleaning.
Daily Support: Managing medication reminders, scheduling any necessary appointments, and providing transportation.
Home Environment: Our relative is afraid of the dark, and likes to wander, so a key part of this role is ensuring a safe, secure, and reassuring home environment, especially at night.
Our Ideal Candidates

Strict Requirements (No Exceptions)
NO SMOKING of any kind.
NO PETS of any kind.
