We are a collection agency that services accounts with judgments, which includes executing wage and non-wage garnishments or judgment revival when applicable for our clients. In these cases, we would prepare the filings for you to review and sign off as the attorney of record. Some counties do not require a return court date, others you can appear on our behalf remotely, via Zoom. We service judgments in Cook and surrounding counties.
Most of the workload does not require a return court date. The caseload for any court date varies from 1-5 cases. The number of court dates is about 0-1 per month, which would be scheduled based on your availability.
90% of the time the defendant is not present and it's just a matter of obtaining the order. If there's ever some sort of extenuating circumstance that requires additional work on your behalf additional compensation can be negotiated.
Given the minimal level of difficulty, I would like to base compensation on a per-court date fee. I propose $125 per court date, whether one case or a few, and $50 per case, for which a court date is not required.
