Upholstery/ Repair shop looking for employee
UPHOLSTERER (Must have experience in Reupholstery Cars, Boats, Furniture)
Upholstery Repair & Replacement:
Repair, replace, and install automotive upholstery components, such as seats, headliners, door panels, and carpeting.
Accurately measure, cut, and sew materials like fabric, vinyl, and leather to meet customer specifications.
Remove and replace damaged or worn-out upholstery, ensuring a seamless and durable finish.
Replace and install boat upholstery, such as cushions, side panels, carpeting.
Repair, replace, and install furniture upholstery, such as sofas, chairs, loveseats.
Convertible Top Installation & Repair:
Replace and install convertible tops on various makes and models.
Ensure convertible tops are aligned and installed securely for optimal functionality and aesthetics.
Repair or replace convertible top mechanisms as needed.
Workplace Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with shop policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
At leastb2+ years of experience in automotive upholstery or a related field.
Strong knowledge of different materials such as leather, vinyl, and fabric, as well as techniques for working with these materials.
Experience with convertible top repair and installation is highly desirable.
Proficiency in using hand tools, sewing machines, and other upholstery equipment.
Keen attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and meet deadlines.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license.
