Job Description: We are looking for a skilled CNC Programmer with a strong background in general shop knowledge and safety practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes and/or Mills to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications.
Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize CNC programs for lathe/mills machines using CAD/CAM software.
Set up and operate CNC lathe/mill machines, ensuring all settings are accurate and aligned with production specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documents.
Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring they meet required specifications and standards.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency.
Keep detailed records of production runs, including time, materials used, and any issues encountered.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC lathe programming and operation.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks).
Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Familiarity with general shop safety practices and OSHA regulations.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
