As our AdvancedÂMachinist in Orland Park, IL, your main mission in this self-motivated, senior levelÂrole will be to program, setup and operate CNC Wire EDM and/or CNC Die Sink EDM machines and/or conduct CAM Programming. ÂYou will perform advanced milling operations such as complex modeling and mold base machining.ÂEqually critical to your success is your ability toÂprovideÂguidance and training, monitorÂthe performance of the manufacturing areaÂand implementÂcontinuous improvement/waste elimination efforts, maintain area machines and processes through the generation of preventative maintenance work orders and resolveÂmore difficult mechanical problems as they arise. You will also be able to work the afternoon shift, Monday through Friday, 2:30-10:30 PM with a paid shift differential.ÂDrawing upon your minimum of 3 years of experience and your desire to see projects through to the end, you will:Â
Program, set up and operate multiple CNC EDM Die Sink, Wire EDM, Milling and/or Turning machine tools using test graphic information supplied from the CAD/CAM system
Load, check and run tooling and programs
Perform in-process inspection and documentation results
Monitor and maintain tooling during job run
Perform precision work to a close tolerance on components that have had considerable value added to them by previous processes
Perform surface polishing and advanced milling operations such as complex modeling and mold base machining, and/or Wire EDM, Die Sink, Programming
Participate in quality and productivity improvement groupsÂ
Occasionally lifting heavy objects weighing up toÂ50 lbsÂis not a problem for you and youÂsee the big picture of the overall tooling operations while paying attention to the small details.
