Midwest Converting is a service company engaged in the conversion of paper and board products to different sizes for paper mills, merchants and printers. Our manufacturing operation consists of Slitter, Sheeters, Trimmers, Balers, and Lift Trucks. Our core business and value in the market place, is to inventory/warehouse paper & board products, provide
effective converting programs, and serve as the distribution channel between the Paper Mill and Merchant/End User.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for processing sheeting orders accurately according to customer and company requirements. Opening is for 2nd shift 3:00PM to 11:00PM Monday thru Friday. Company will supply hearing protection and safety glasses.
This is a fast paced production environment and candidate will be required to keep up with the pace.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidate will already know how to operate a Slitter & Sheeter and will need no Training
Unwrapping rolls, checking for correct product, and staging for machine
Loading machine will rolls of paper and help to feed paper through machine
Set up machine according to order specifications
Continuous quality checking while machine is in operation
Un-loading of converted products
Checking quality of parent roll stock and converted products
Keeping machine and production area clean by general cleaning, sweeping, and vacuuming
Wrapping finished converted stock when the process is completed
Filling out production forms for our Food Safety Program on duties completed
General labor work in warehouse or on other machines ,janitorial duties, making skids, or working on a Baler
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
HS Diploma/GED willingness to learn and have strong committed work ethic.
Driver’s License and reliable transportation required
Requirements: Must be able to understand and communicate in Basic English
Ability to read a tape measure and understand written orders for converting
Opening for 2nd shift, but must be available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd
Detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures.
Basic understanding of Safety and Food Safety Procedures in a manufacturing environment
Must be motivated, hardworking and available to work overtime if needed
