Quality Inspector Lead

Job Overview:

3Q, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspection Lead to join our team. As Quality Inspection Lead, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and ensuring the highest standards of product quality and supporting our quality management system.

Responsibilities:

1. Inspect Fastener Products: Thoroughly examine incoming fastener products to ensure they meet defined quality standards and specifications.

2. Utilize Measurement Tools: Utilize various measurement tools and equipment to verify product dimensions, tolerances, and other critical specifications.

3. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results, deviations, calibration certifications, and any corrective actions taken. Complete inspection reports and documentation in a timely manner.

4. Collaborate with the Sales & Purchasing Team: Work closely with the sales and purchasing team to address quality issues, provide feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

5. Identify and Resolve Defects: Actively identify and resolve quality-related issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.

6. Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, ISO 9001 standards, and company policies related to quality assurance.

7. Calibration: Schedule and monitor calibrated equipment to ensure it is always kept in usable conditions

8. Independent Thinking: Ability to perform duties under minimal supervision and critically think about tasks given.

Requirements:

1. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in quality position, preferably in a fastener distribution or manufacturing environment.

2. Knowledge: Familiarity with fastener specifications, industry standards, and measurement tools. Understanding of ISO standards and fastener related standards - ASTM, ASME, and IFI - is a plus, familiar with reading engineering prints.

3. Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot subtle defects or deviations from quality standards.

4. Organization: Bring a systematic approach to task and spatial organization, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in daily work responsibilities.

5. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate quality issues and collaborate with team members.

6. Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing data and making data-driven decisions to improve product quality.

7. Computer Skills: Understanding computer applications like Microsoft Excel, Access, and Outlook. Can navigate a digital filing system.

8. Team Player: Ability to collaborate within a team environment and contribute to a positive and productive workplace culture.
