A Metal Fabricator of Manufacturing Retail Fixtures, Custom Furniture and large format graphics seeking smart and reliable Quality Inspector who has worked and 2+ experiences in manufacturing environment.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
To ensure all customer products are manufactured to the correct specifications through the manufacturing process, following all specifications and requirements established by our customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must inspect parts per production drawing before running complete production, verifying dimensions per drawing for final
inspection.
Keep a daily record on final inspections and shipping process
Assist Operators when it is required
Work accordingly with production to do plant-wide calibration of gauges
Verify non-conforming product
Properly fill out rejection tag for the rejected material/product
Verify in-process product as needed
Verify correct Revision information
Must have basic computer skills
Ensure the company is meeting the standard codes in the manufacturing process.
Inspect incoming raw materials, mechanical parts, and subassemblies, mark and complete appropriate documentation.
Conduct a complete first piece inspection to ensure the process is correct before the production run begins when the control plan
specifies it.
Perform in-process inspection of all parts as required to assure adherence to specifications and procedures per
router/Manufacturing Plan.
Conduct final inspection of the finished product to confirm all operations have been completed to Morgan Li’s customer
specification and assure that all required certifications and other documentation are in place for shipment.
Maintain various inspection fixtures, gages, and measuring devices, so appropriate measurements are made, and documentation
can be provided.
KNOWLEDGE BASE:
Knowledge of steel fabrication, including laser cuts, press brake bending, and welding.
Paint line powder coating and testing of powder coat curing.
Able to use metrology instruments.
Able to read and interpret production drawings and specifications.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum High school diploma, GED & associate degree: or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business principles, technical procedures. Ability to write reports. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public. Must be Bi-lingual (Spanish / English)
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to
Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram, and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
ISO 9001:2015 knowledge. (no certification required)

WORK SCHEDULE: 1ST SHIFT
Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and available Saturday for OT pending on workload.
