Family owned company specializing in dump truck services in the Chicagoland area is seeking a reliable and organized administrative assistant to join the team. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, excellent communication abilities and an eye for detail. Responsibilities include Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable along with various other office tasks.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support/assistance to company owner
- Execute all AP and AR activities as well as remote bank deposits
- Perform general office duties such as typing, filing, scanning, photocopying and faxing
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, phone calls/traditional mail
- Field inquiries from related business parties, answer questions and complete follow-up actions
- Ensure all documentation is organized and readily accessible
Qualifications:
- High school or equivalency
- Requires a minimum of two years office experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Excellent customer service skills and proper phone etiquette
- Typing skills required
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Ability to work independently and to take initiative
Supervision:
- Reports directly to owner
