Customer service team associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our Customer Service Team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction.

This individual interacts with customers to provide information and address inquiries related to company services, orders, and inventory. The team also acts as a liaison between customers and the production department ensuring accurate and timely communication.

Hours Monday-Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Key responsibilities

Answer incoming calls and address customer email correspondence professionally and efficiently

Follow up on customer orders to clarify details and confirm price and lead time

Enter customer orders in computer system

Prepare and distribute necessary documentation for production staff to fulfill orders

Maintain and update the daily log of shipped orders for tracking and reporting purposes

Proactively follow up on pending orders to resolve any issues related to pricing confirmation, material availability, or other potential delays.

Process billing for completed orders and shipments in a timely and accurate manner

Prepare and process documents, such as Bills-of-Lading, invoices, packing slips, and customer statements.

Various Data Entry functions for Orders, inbound and outbound products, as well as inventory updating

Maintain accurate inventory records for storage billing

Coordinate with carriers, logistic providers, and rail yard for inbound and outbound shipments

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Strong data entry computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite, Word, Excel, Outlook

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities

Great presence on the phone and ability to build relationships with customers via both email and phone interactions

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Must have own transportation
