General Office/Customer Service

Growing food manufacturing/distribution company in Melrose Park seeks full time General Office/Customer Service person. Process customer orders obtained by phone/fax/email, fill out customer forms/price quotes, coordination of delivery and sourcing freight carrier, handle/resolve customer issues, follow up on inquiries, run reports, calculate commissions and other customer incentive programs, coordinate printing of production labels and other production documents, answer main telephone lines promptly and professionally. In addition, cross train in other departmental duties of accounting such as accounts receivable, collections and accounts payable. Maintain office machines, such as stocking with paper, replacing toner/drums, ordering services, ordering supplies, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in business administration, or related field, preferred.

Two or more years of general office, customer service, A/P and/or A/R experience to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties.

Must have advanced knowledge of a variety of office practices and procedures, such as use of office equipment and Microsoft Office software (Excel familiarity preferred); will be trained on custom accounting software.
