Be able to read both traditional tailoring marks and alterations tickets.
Must be able to press front of lapels and sleeve heads, pants press waistband and top part of trouser, mark the trouser crease at the bottom, press both legs
Knowledgeable of pressing techniques for various weights of fabric
Must have reliable transportation to and from work
Provide excellent customer service at all times, and make and meet tailoring deadlines
To succeed, you must:
Have relevant tailoring experience, specifically with men’s suits, including shortening working button sleeve cuffs.
Have experience operating tailoring equipment such as, standard single-needle sewing machine, industrial blind stitch, and any machine necessary to efficiently complete the product
Good communication skills; basic conversational English to work effectively with others
Be detail-oriented, organized, have a friendly demeanor and a high standard of integrity
