The information below concerns a research study conducted at Northwestern University:
The purpose of this study is to assess to examine how your thoughts and experiences might relate to your performance on various tasks and questionnaires.
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Ages 12-30
- Not receiving any current treatment with psychiatric medication.
- No current mental health or psychiatric disorders (excluding anxiety and depression).
- Do not have a family history (in first-degree relatives) of psychotic spectrum disorders.
You will participate in interviews and cognitive tasks, provide samples of your blood, saliva, and DNA; undergo brain scans such as MRI and EEG; and complete questionnaires. Study participation will be up to 5 visits over 2 years.
All assessments are provided at no cost. An initial screening will
compensate participants $30/hr. Then, if this study is found to be a good fit for
you, you will be invited to participate in a compensated 2-year
longitudinal study.
