Gen-X generator is an established stand-by generator dealer and installer in northern Illinois. Gen-X has been in business for more than 35 years and has an existing customer base of over 5000 clients. We have an office staff of 5 and roughly 20 field technicians making us the largest Generac generator dealer in the Midwest.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced in-house sales representative to add to our team. This persons job duties would include the following.
- Provide potential and existing customers with in-home estimates for the installation of stand-by generator systems.
- Follow up on leads driven by word of mouth, online advertising, and promotions ran by Generac.
- Once jobs are sold this person will inform our highly experienced installation crew on the scope of work and walk through the installation on site.
- When the installation is completed this person would meet the municipalities inspector on site to clear any required permits.

- A company vehicle
- All sales literature and materials
- Training on the proper installation of a stand-by generator
- Training on our software to provide detailed estimates to potential clients

Required experience:
- Experience in sales is required
- Construction or electrical experience is a plus
- Experience in Microsoft office
Compensation will be based on past experience and a 90 day review. Typical starting salary will be between $55,000 and $65,000.
