Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Assistant Sign Fabricator and Welder to join our production team. This role involves assisting in the fabrication and welding of metal and other materials for various types of signs. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, precision, and an eye for detail to ensure high-quality finishes that align with client specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the fabrication of signs, including measuring, cutting, assembling, and welding various materials.
- Operate tools and equipment safely, including welders, grinders, and drills.
- Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to meet design requirements.
- Collaborate with the design team to understand project specifications and offer practical insights during the fabrication process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Support senior fabricators and contribute to team efforts to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience in welding and fabrication, preferably in the sign-making industry.
- Proficient in various types of welding techniques and metalwork.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Capable of lifting and maneuvering heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in metal fabrication or welding is a plus.
