KANE Construction Group & Assoc, LLC is expanding our field operations crew and has a need for experienced Commercial Drywall Hangers. Our qualifications are firm so we appreciate your attention to these qualifications and look forward to hearing from you.
Skilled Commercial Drywall Hangers:
We are seeking Commercial Drywall Hangers who are very skilled / experienced, who will hold a key role within the company. This position performs all of the duties of a Drywall Hanger, including fastening drywall to metal framing, furring channels and installs drywall to cover walls, ceilings, soffits, shafts, and movable partitions in commercial and industrial buildings. You will work directly with the commercial carpentry crew and ensure that the work is completed as assigned and on time. This position also collaborates with the other significant players on the jobsite including the Foreman, the Superintendent and the Project Manager. All staff is expected to adhere to our customer service standards and practice collaboration for the success of the crew as a whole and ensure that work is started and completed on time. Reliability and punctuality are expected.
Qualifications:
Solid work history
High School diploma or GED; 5 years, minimum of experience in commercial drywall hanging
Rolls out power cords and checks out tools and equipment needed for daily tasks
Inventories materials, tools and equipment at the beginning and end of shift
Measures and marks cutting lines on drywall for lengths, heights and penetrations
Scribes cutting lines on drywall and breaks board along cut lines
Fits and fastens board into specified position on walls, ceilings and soffits
Cuts openings into board for any and all penetrations
Cleans up and stocks materials as required
Must have knowledge of industrial standards
Must be able to use laser at door frames to be sure everything stays plumb
Must have your own tools (Impact gun, screw gun, Single Line laser and basic hand tools)
Must have proper safety items: work boots, hardhat, safety glasses, gloves etc.
Ability to read plans and make assignments to complete a scope of work
Ability to serve as the company’s representative on a jobsite with customers
Strong verbal skills and attention to teamwork for the projects success
Good organizational skills and attention to pace and accuracy
Strong motivation and punctuality a must
