Home Repair Matters is hiring a reliable and skilled General Contractor Helper with hands-on experience in home remodeling. We're looking for someone who knows the work, can follow direction, and is comfortable communicating with clients when needed.
We work in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, so you must be able to travel to different job sites.
Job Duties:
-Able to do framing, drywall, painting, flooring, tile, and finish work
-Perform common electrical and plumbing jobs
-Perform carpentry, demolition, and material handling
-Use hand and power tools efficiently and safely
-Keep job sites clean and organized
-Support the team with tasks requiring experience and good judgment
-Knowledge of general remodeling work
Requirements:
-At least 2-3 years of experience in remodeling or construction
-Must speak and understand English well enough to communicate with clients
-Must have a valid driver's license
-Knowledge of tools, materials, and basic building practices
-Able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in various conditions
-Reliable transportation to job sites (a must)
-Punctual, professional, and able to work independently when needed
-Must have a good attitude and take pride in your work
Schedule:
-Monday to Friday (occasional Saturdays)
-Full-time preferred
