We are looking for an experienced and reliable handyman to handle various repair and maintenance tasks for our Airbnb units and properties in Chicago. The ideal candidate must be available for quick repairs, including evenings and weekends, and able to communicate effectively with our team via WhatsApp to provide real-time updates, pictures, and videos of completed work.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair leaks, minor plumbing issues, and other common property issues
- Install and troubleshoot electronic locks
- Purchase and replace mattresses and other essential items as needed
- Repair or replace bed frames, furniture, and perform general touch-ups around the property
- Send pictures, videos, and updates to the property management team via WhatsApp
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a handyman or maintenance professional, preferably with experience in hospitality or short-term rentals
- Ability to respond quickly to repair requests, including on evenings and weekends
- Must have reliable transportation and your own tools
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve independently
- Ability to communicate effectively with the team via WhatsApp (must have a smartphone)
- Flexibility to work on-call for quick repairs and property needs
Compensation:
Pay is per project, depending on the scope and complexity of the work
