Job Description:
We are a real estate development company looking for a reliable and skilled handyman to join our team. We specialize in rental properties and development projects throughout Chicago, with a focus on enhancing the quality of life through exceptional construction and design.
Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks on rental properties.
Assist in development projects.
Conduct routine inspections and identify progress or necessary repairs.
Handle tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, drywall, and general maintenance.
Collaborate with contractors and other team members to ensure project completion.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of basic repair and maintenance techniques.
Ability to use common tools and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with rental properties and/or development projects.
Certifications or training in specific trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical) are a plus.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
