High-end Production Shop Lead

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Woodshop Team Lead / Shop Manager to join our team. In this role, you will provide leadership and management for our woodworking team, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the construction and assembly of our furniture pieces.

Oversee and motivate the woodworking team, ensuring tasks are delegated clearly and deadlines are met.

Collaborate with the Production Manager to plan and coordinate production batches, materials, and timelines.

Uphold high-quality standards, conducting inspections and implementing quality control measures.

Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety training.

Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering continuous learning and skill development.

Manage inventory, materials, and shop resources to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.

Oversee shop cleanliness and organization, ensuring a safe and well-maintained workspace.

Troubleshoot production issues and work with the Production Manager to resolve problems and improve processes.

Qualifications:

Experience in woodworking and team leadership.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.

Commitment to quality craftsmanship and continuous improvement.

Mastery of traditional and modern woodworking tools and techniques.

An effective communicator.

Passionate about doing things the right way

Pay & Experience:

Pay range: $24 - $30 per hour, depending on experience.

3-5+ years woodworking experience is preferred, with the ability to step into the role without needing basic training.

We are willing to train the right person, but prior experience in woodworking is highly valued.
