Aloha Print Group is a woman-owned and locally operated digital print company. We’ve been
established in Chicago for over two decades and serve clients of all types, including marketing
firms, hospitality establishments, and national companies. We handle digital print and litigation
projects for a variety of vertical markets.
We are seeking a reliable and personable Finishing Technician to join our team. You will
help put the finishing touches on small-format print materials. This includes trimming, folding, scoring, binding, collating, laminating, padding, and more.
You will be responsible for setting up and operating small machinery, such as a guillotine, folder, scorer and slitter, perfect binder, saddle stitcher, drill, die cut tab machine, and laminator. This role also requires manual finishing, including but not limited to taping, gluing, rounding corners, stapling, stringing name badges, and stuffing envelopes as needed.
Excellent attention to detail, self-direction, and a commitment to producing quality print materials will make you the ideal applicant for this role. Technical and mathematical thinking skills will also serve you well. Experience with finishing equipment is not required, provided you are a fast learner. However, some knowledge of the printing industry and finishing process is a plus.
Responsibilities:
● Read and interpret job ticket finishing instructions
● Work quickly under tight deadlines
● Prepare print materials for packaging
● Operate finishing machines, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot issues
● Quality control – help catch print defects and report them
● Help maintain a clean and organized shop environment
