Overview
We are seeking a skilled Tuckpointer to join our team. As a Tuckpointer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and restoring masonry structures by filling in mortar joints with fresh mortar.
Duties
- Perform tuckpointing work on various masonry structures
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning and removing old mortar using grinders
- Fill mortar joints with precision and care
- Own appropriate tools such as trowels, jointers, and brushes
Skills
- Proficiency in tuckpointing techniques
- Knowledge of different types of mortar mixes
- Ability to work with precision and attention to detail
- Physical strength and stamina for manual labor with ability to lift up to 80lb
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Experience a must
Qualifications
- Core skills: Masonry techniques
- Premium skills: Steel Lintel replacement and caulking
- Experience in tuckpointing projects a must
- Certification in masonry or related field is a plus
