As a Window Restoration Technician, you will:
Restore and Repair:
- Work on restoring historic/vintage windows, ensuring they retain their original charm while meeting modern standards of functionality & energy efficiency
- Updating window sashes with weatherstripping to improve their overall efficiency
Woodworking and Joinery:
- Utilize your skills in woodworking & classic joinery to repair and replicate window components
Problem Solving:
- Assess the condition of windows and develop creative solutions for restoration challenges
Attention to Detail:
- Pay meticulous attention to detail to ensure the highest quality of restoration work
Historic Preservation:
- Contribute to the preservation of historic buildings & landmarks
Qualifications:
- Experience in woodworking & joinery
- Knowledge of window restoration techniques
- Paint removal: Scraping, steaming & etc
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn
