Core Responsibilities:.
Diagnose vehicle issues accurately using diagnostic tools and test drives.
Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical systems.
Conduct routine maintenance services (oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, fluid checks, etc.).
Perform safety inspections and ensure vehicles meet Autos of Chicago quality standards.
Recondition pre-owned inventory to retail-ready condition.
Shop & Equipment Maintenance
Keep work area clean, organized, and safe at all times.
Properly use and maintain dealership tools and diagnostic equipment.
Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment immediately.
Teamwork & Development
Work closely with service advisors, parts department, and other technicians.
Assist with training junior technicians or apprentices as needed.
Stay current with ongoing training, certifications, and updated repair techniques.
