Job Description:
We are seeking a professional, polite, reliable and punctual Meal Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be held responsible for delivering meals to various schools and daycare centers, ensuring that our products arrive on time and in excellent condition. Attention to detail is crucial. Drivers will be responsible for maintaining handwritten logs that will be used to verify that all meals are delivered accurately. Additionally, a basic understanding of vehicle maintenance is required to ensure safe operation. This is a full-time 3rd shift position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate delivery vehicles within the limits of the laws of the road, to transport meals to designated locations.
- Ensure that all meals are accurately packed and delivered as per order specifications, including quantity, quality, and temperature.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to assess vehicle safety and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
- Ensure timely delivery while following assigned routes and schedules.
- Maintain a professional demeanor, demonstrating good manners and respect towards clients and staff.
- Load and unload meal deliveries with care, checking for accuracy during the process.
- Follow all health and safety regulations regarding food transport.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong time management skills and punctuality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to read and write in the English language.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in meal delivery.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to assess vehicle safety.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Previous delivery experience is a plus, but not required.
