A growing trucking company located in Willowbrook is looking for an experienced dispatcher with expertise in reefer (refrigerated) freight. We specialize in temperature-sensitive shipments and are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and knowledgeable dispatcher to ensure timely and efficient deliveries for our reefer operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Dispatching Reefer Loads: Assigning and managing refrigerated loads while ensuring proper temperature control is maintained.
Route Planning: Optimizing routes to ensure timely delivery while maintaining the integrity of temperature-sensitive freight.
Real-Time Communication: Maintaining communication with drivers to provide updates on load status, traffic, and any changes to schedules.
Monitoring Refrigerated Units: Ensuring that reefer units are functioning properly and that temperatures are maintained throughout transport.
Problem-Solving: Addressing any issues that arise, such as delays, equipment malfunctions, or customer concerns.
Documentation & Compliance: Ensuring temperature logs are maintained and that all industry regulations for refrigerated goods are followed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in dispatching reefer loads or refrigerated freight.
Familiarity with temperature-sensitive logistics and cold chain management.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
