New England Express is looking for a dedicated Fleet Manager to oversee the maintenance and performance of our car hauling fleet. This vital role ensures our vehicles are safe, reliable, and always ready to hit the road.
Key Responsibilities:
manage all aspects of fleet maintenance, including preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections;
ensure full compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements;
optimize fleet utilization and efficiency to minimize downtime and control operational costs;
oversee vehicle registration, licensing, and insurance documentation;
manage relationships with external vendors, repair shops, and parts suppliers;
implement and utilize fleet management software and telematics for tracking and analysis;
maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare performance reports;
collaborate with operations and drivers to address vehicle issues promptly.
Qualifications:
minimum of 2 years of experience in fleet management, within the car hauling;
strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance programs;
thorough understanding of DOT regulations, OSHA standards, and vehicle safety protocols;
proficiency with fleet management software (FMS) and telematics systems;
excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills;
ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively;
fluent English/ Ukrainian.
