Responsibilities
Operate a tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles to transport goods efficiently.
Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
Manage documentation related to deliveries, including bills of lading and inspection reports.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience in commercial driving with a focus on tractor-trailer operations.
Familiarity with various types of freight.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the transportation industry.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
