Highboost Corporation is a leading OTR Commercial Trucking company based in Bolingbrook, IL. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service to our clients by maintaining a fleet of high-performance commercial trucks. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Shop Manager to lead our maintenance team and ensure our fleet is always in top condition.
The Shop Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our maintenance shop, manage a team of skilled technicians, and ensure all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in truck maintenance, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
-Oversee the maintenance and repair of our fleet of commercial trucks.
-Manage, train, and mentor a team of technicians and support staff.
-Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
-Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
-Coordinate with the operations team to schedule maintenance around delivery needs.
-Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, parts inventory, and equipment.
-Work with vendors to source parts and services at the best possible prices.
-Monitor shop performance and implement improvements as necessary.
-Ensure the shop is clean, organized, and safe for all employees.
Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience in truck maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
-Strong knowledge of OTR commercial trucks and diesel engines.
-Excellent leadership and communication skills.
-Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
-Proficiency in maintenance management software.
-Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is a plus but NOT required.
