Looking for an experienced trucking dispatch person who can work with 53' dry vans. Need a strong and flexible person who has great communication skills and can work in a dynamic environment in a trucking industry. Position is full time and our office is in Schaumburg, IL
You will be booking loads on DAT board, dispatching assigned drivers, communicating and updating brokers on existing loads, reporting to the upper management of any issues.
Duties:
- Coordinate and schedule shipments with drivers and customers
- Communicate with drivers to ensure the timely delivery of goods
- Monitor shipment progress and provide updates to customers
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments and transactions
- Utilize transportation management software to track shipments and manage inventory
- Manage fleet maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs as needed
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in dispatching or logistics
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
